ABOUT
My Mission at Majna
I am Anne-Laure Labarre.
Through Osteopathy and/or Yoga, I help you (re)discover your balance by sharing the keys and knowledge you need.
Alongside osteopathy consultations and yoga classes, I offer thematic workshops to help my patients and students reconnect with their breath, senses, and nature.
My approach focuses particularly on perinatal care, pediatrics, orthodontics, and women’s health, supporting each person holistically, with heart and deep listening.
My Story…
I’ve had the privilege of practicing osteopathy for 20 years. As a child, I was passionate about dance and fascinated by the diversity of human movement, ideas, and biomechanics.
Early on, I realized that body and mind balance was linked to deep and subtle dimensions. Yoga became an essential philosophy in my life.
After my studies, I became a teacher assistant at CEESO Lyon, then a lecturer after a two-year stay in California.
I regularly return to California for further training in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and myofascial release. There, I discovered Jean-Claude Guimberteau’s work on fascia before it became known in France.
I later specialized in perinatal care, pediatrics, and gynecology-obstetrics.
Just before becoming a mother 14 years ago, I spent an extended stay in a Tibetan monastery in Pokhara, which deeply anchored my meditation practice.
I then trained in Vinyasa and Viniyoga, and for the past 10+ years, I have been guided by Marina Margherita, whose wisdom and heartfelt teaching continue to illuminate my path.
My professional and personal journeys intertwine. As a mother of two, a yogini, and an athlete, my experiences—along with the precious exchanges with my patients and students—have enriched my work.
Together, we walk toward global balance, body and mind, with heart.
Ananda (profound and peaceful joy).
Why Majna?
“Majna” combines:
“Ma” – Earth, Mother & “Jna” – Knowledge, Wisdom (Sanskrit)
It represents the transmission of precise knowledge, rooted in anatomy and physiology, while honoring the wisdom of our ancestors, the teachings of ancient texts, and the intuition of our grandmothers.
Whether in a one-on-one session or a workshop, we blend these elements to cultivate richness, reconnection, and alignment with our essence and nature.
My Values
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge is key to self-mastery and balance. It includes anatomy, physiology, ancient wisdom, Sanskrit philosophy, and holistic indigenous perspectives. This quest for understanding is at the heart of the “Jna” in Majna (knowledge in Sanskrit).
TRANSMISSION
Knowledge only holds value when shared. As a health professional and a mother, passing on knowledge is fundamental to my work—offering explanations and sharing teachings empowers others in their well-being journey.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
When illuminated by awareness and knowledge, personal experience becomes a precious guide for wisdom and growth. In yoga, learning through experience has always been a key teaching method.
CREATIVITY
Creativity fuels my approach—
• In osteopathy, it’s a “palpatory investigation” to identify imbalances.
• In yoga, it’s about adapting postures to each individual.
Creativity also expresses my joy for life and the daily sense of wonder that both osteopathy and yoga bring me.
HOLISTIC HEALTH
According to the WHO, health is more than the absence of illness—it’s physical, mental, and social well-being. I adopt a holistic approach, considering context and encouraging preventive care, even in the absence of symptoms.
CONNECTION TO NATURE
Reconnecting with the Earth and our senses is essential for reconnecting with ourselves. This is the “Ma” in Majna—symbolizing Mother Nature, the nurturing Earth, and the creative feminine force, celebrating life itself.
