Yoga by Majna
Sharing Ancient and Modern Wisdom for Body, Mind, and Soul Balance
Majna comes from “Ma,” meaning Earth and Mother, and “Jna,” meaning Knowledge in Sanskrit
This unique approach combines a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology with the wisdom of ancient traditions and sacred texts, creating a practice that is both grounded and inspiring. At Majna, we guide you in reconnecting with your true nature and with Nature itself.
We offer two different Yoga options: personalized one-on-one sessions and group workshops
ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS :
A personalized and tailor-made practice
Private yoga sessions allow you to create a unique practice specifically adapted to your needs and aspirations. Together, we design each session “à la carte” to align with your goals.
GROUP WORKSHOPS
Thematic exploration and shared experiences
Group workshops take place over a series of 5 to 8 sessions. Each workshop focuses on a specific theme and welcomes between 7 and 12 participants. These workshops provide an opportunity to explore topics in depth, guided by both theoretical and practical knowledge. They also foster a space for enriching shared experiences.
Which Yoga?
I PRACTICE AND TEACH TWO MAIN YOGA TRADITIONS, BOTH ROOTED IN THE SAME LINEAGE OF THE MASTER, SRI TIRUMALAI KRISHNAMACHARYA (SRI TK):
Vinyasa Yoga
A widely popular style in the Western world, Vinyasa is generally dynamic and finds its roots in both the Ashtanga Yoga of Pattabhi Jois and the teachings of Indra Devi—both students of Sri TK. Vinyasa often includes sequences of Sun Salutations and can be physically demanding.
Viniyoga
A personalized approach to yoga, following the philosophy of its founder, TKV Desikachar (son and student of Sri TK) : « It is not that the person needs to accommodate him- or herself to yoga, but rather the yoga practice must be taylored to fit each person ». It incorporates asanas like Vinyasa does but with shorter sequences and longer periods of observation, adapting the practice to the individual.
Influences from Years of Practice and Experience, In our classes,
I also integrate:
The use of props and the precision inspired by Iyengar Yoga, founded by B.K.S. Iyengar, brother-in-law and student of Sri TK.
Postural work from Yin Yoga, particularly focusing on fascia release.
Restaurative Yoga, which deeply influences the autonomic nervous system—resonating with cranial osteopathy.
Additionally, I may incorporate elements such as osteopathic precision, Thai massage,
or MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) when relevant.
Integration & Autonomy: Toward Sustainable Health
At Majna, I offer knowledge—not just to understand but, above all, to experience within your own body and life. Through this process, you integrate the teachings, allowing them to support your daily balance. You gain specific tools and the confidence to use them effectively for optimal health.
